Back From My Cloudy Afternoon Of The Soul

It's great to be back! Hi! :-)  I know it has been forever (and by forever I mean over a year and a half) since I have sent out a newsletter. The intricate details of why I have been off line are lengthy and will be shared in the months to come. However, the short […]

Make Your Life Quiz And A New Site! Sooooooo Exciting!

Hi Guys!     I know it has been awhile.  Ok, longer than awhile.  It’s been FOREVER since I wrote a full-on blog post!     You see, I have been in this interesting place; a place where contemplation and grounding have been more important than action and output.   Many months ago, I went through […]

Don’t Wimp Out On The Man/Woman In The Mirror

I'm Pretty Sure I Didn't Start Out Wimpy…   Jeff and I have been married almost 5 years.  When we came together it was truly an epic love story – the stars aligned and the angels sang as I was found by my perfect match.   Long before the man ever entered the picture I […]

My Integrity Experiment – The Final Chapter
My Integrity Experiment – The Final Chapter

It has been 3 weeks since I completed my integrity experiment and having found a quiet moment I thought I would take this opportunity to close the loop on my journey.     It has been a great ride, much was learned and even more was created.     Hmmm. Let’s see….        […]

“She Treats Us Like Trained Monkeys!” or Why feedback’s A Gift.
“She Treats Us Like Trained Monkeys!” or Why feedback’s A Gift.

My father was dying.   It seemed like a good enough reason to not attend.   On the surface it sounded valid enough but if I were to be honest with myself, it was an excuse. A good excuse but an excuse none the less.    It was my last year of university and I […]

Integrity Experiment Day 24 Did I mention that I crashed and burned

HIYA! Coach Joelle here to report that last week I totally crashed and burned in my integrity experiment.   How could such a thing happen?  You ask… And to a coach?!!!     Well,     I could explain how after a glass of wine, one scoop of gelato is just not sufficient and […]

The Integrity Experiment Day 11: Getting your needs met
The Integrity Experiment Day 11: Getting your needs met

Hello!   I’ll tell you, my integrity experiment has provided some interesting insights so far.      This weekend I discovered that to be my "best self" I need to sleep more, take time to do nothing, plan for alone time and probably get a second TV.   With my husband on a sailing […]

I Hereby Call This Life To Order!
I Hereby Call This Life To Order!

Well hello!   As you’ll recall, last week I defined the parameters of my highest ideals and began zealously embodying them in “The Integrity Experiment” (read all about it -you are very welcome to play along.)   As I put the finishing touches on my 30 day plan for exceptional living and got ready […]

Integrity Experiment Day 5
Integrity Experiment Day 5

Sleeeep!!! I need Sleep!!   Ok that’s it.  My 7 hours of sleep are non-negotiable.  Well, actually the whole list is non-negotiable for the next 30 days but somehow I figured that losing sleep to get up for meditation was somehow a noble cause. It’s not.   I recouped today by grabbing an hour after […]

Integrity Experiment Day 4
Integrity Experiment Day 4

Hey there!   It's day four of my Integrity experiment and I’m liking what I’m seeing.    I can already tell that my workouts are more intense and I even feel stronger and thinner (could be a head thing but I really feel it!)     My daily meditation, which is one of the most […]

The Integrity Experiment: Day 1
The Integrity Experiment: Day 1

The Integrity Experiment: Day 1   What a huge day.  Jeff and I got up, spent 3 hours at the gym, ran errands and were off to a gathering. It’s 10:30 PM and it is the first time to myself I have had since I woke up.  It just goes to show that when it […]

Living To Your Highest Ideals: The Integrity Experiment
Living To Your Highest Ideals: The Integrity Experiment

HI guys!   Last week was full of milestones.  Not only did I turn 38 but I also had the opportunity to complete two decades as a full-on contributing “adult” by attending my 20 year high school reunion.    Facing the people from high school was in many ways a last frontier for me.  I think […]

When Nature Calls…. Pick Up!
When Nature Calls…. Pick Up!

The world we have created allows us to live without ever stepping foot in a garden or being surrounded by silent wilderness. We have done an excellent job of separating ourselves, but along with the comforts of a warm bed and central air, we have deprived our souls of the wisdom and beauty that is nature’s alone to give. Join Coach Joelle as she overcomes anxiety by exploring the truths hidden in natures embrace.

Are you willing to go “all the way” to have the life you’ve imagined?
Are you willing to go “all the way” to have the life you’ve imagined?

As human beings, we are pretty remarkable. Almost anything we can dream up we can create in our lives, but (and there’s a BIG BUT) it is going to take something. Great lives do not come from sitting around and numbing to the TV and great change does not come from being comfortable and doing what you have always done. Are you willing to go beyond fear, beyond discomfort, beyond what you know, to have that thing, experience, or accomplishment you have imagined in your life. Coach Joelle wants to know “Are you willing to go all the way?”

Pssst. Don’t tell anyone… but I just realized I am all grown up.
Pssst. Don’t tell anyone… but I just realized I am all grown up.

Apparently you can come of age at 37. Are you more powerful than you know? Have you “arrived”, become the person you dreamed of but haven’t stopped to notice it? Hear more about Coach Joelle’s personal revelation that somewhere the way, she became a grown up!

The $100 Chocolate Bar – Puttin’ it on the Line

Hi, guys!   With 3 weeks to go until our uber-active sea-kayaking vacation, my husband and I are in a desperate race to get in shape.  More specifically, we want to trade in our round jiggly shapes for something a wee bit more toned and svelte.   After devouring half a bag of marshmallows with […]

We’re All Going to Go Someday. So Live It Up!
We’re All Going to Go Someday. So Live It Up!

Hi Gang!   Last week I had the opportunity to engage in a conversation about death.  Contrary to what you might think, this conversation was neither gloomy nor threatening. In fact, through our exploration of the possibility of death, everyone in the conversation would agree that we were given a new zest for life! My […]

Trip to Sedona
Trip to Sedona

I see a trend developing.   I manage through the dark cold winter and things seem fine.  Holidays and novelty make November and December a breeze. January passes, all is well, February has a quiet energy but sometimes quiet is exactly what the soul needs.  March starts getting dicey and in April discomfort shifts to […]

Hi Gang!   With another 6 weeks until the next Make Your Life Program I knew I couldn’t wait until then to start up another life-limiter’s list.   As you may know the making life-limiter’s list is the practice of listing all the stuff that is hanging out there waiting to be done, the […]

The Bachelor Broke My Heart.
The Bachelor Broke My Heart.

Mine and everyone in America’s apparently.   If you have known me for awhile then you know I have the entertainment taste of a 15 year old (Chuck Bass rocks my world!) With that said, I must admit, this past month’s Monday-night Bachelor habit was thrust upon me by my loving husband (don’t even try […]

Good morning!    Coach Joelle here to share another new food adventure from an aspiring vegetarian.   This past weekend, my family in town, we headed to one of downtown Cleveland’s delights, the Westside Market.  It has that ”market feel” with stalls of vegetables and fruit (we got 4 organic cucumbers for $1) stalls with […]

Creative Bill Paying Solutions in Challenging Economic Times
Creative Bill Paying Solutions in Challenging Economic Times

Hi gang!   Are any of you having some challenges paying your bills?    When it comes to these interesting economic times it can seem tempting to just leave the mail in a drawer and pretend that that stack of invoices does not exist.  In Harv Eckar’s Millionaire Mind Intensive, they labeled this behavior the […]

4 AM Wakeup and an Exciting Day in America!

GOOD MORNING!!!   I usually reserve 4 am wake-up calls for plane rides to romantic destinations but today was a welcome exception.  This morning my sweet husband is doing his part by being a poll monitor for the election and I had the privilege of providing transportation for the donut run and dropping him off […]

Take A Walk With Your God

My mother has often expounded the joys of walking.    I hear daily of her early morning power walks and more casual strolls with dear friends.   I have recently come to appreciate a good walk and this summer, have even found a few kindred spirits to participate in my outdoor adventures.    Few […]

My Father’s Daughter
My Father’s Daughter

My father was a civil engineer, an adventurer and a renaissance man.  He was a loving father and husband and it was such a delight to watch him mellow and grow into a quiet appreciation of himself in his 40’s before his abrupt departure from our world.   Growing up, my father was my […]

What I Think About The Youth of America
What I Think About The Youth of America

Wanna, know what I think about the youth of America?   Personally, I think they rock.   And no, not like the guitar-wailing, classic rock of their parents’ generation. I mean, they R.O.C. K. (They are Refreshingly Organized Conscientious Kids!(Ok, technically they are “young adults” but then it would spell ROCYA – which kinda works […]

BOSTON: One awesome city!
BOSTON: One awesome city!

Ok! Who knew Boston was such an amazing city?!   I had no clue and no idea what to expect.  But whatever I would have imagined would not have come close to what we found.   About two weeks ago, Jeff made the executive decision that we would be heading to Boston this weekend.  The why of […]

Boston was Revolting!
Boston was Revolting!

That’s right, around 1773 a group of American colonists protested against the British government by throwing a bunch of tea into the Boston harbor, which is said to have sparked the American Revolution and this weekend I got to participate in its re-enactment (A.K.A. the Boston Tea Party) aboard a tall sailing ship in […]
